Athletes of the Cyprus Judo Federation were honoured last night at the awards ceremony of the Cyprus Olympic Committee.

Giorgios Balarjishvili received the award for the best Male Judoka of 2019 and Sofia Asvesta received the award for the best Female Judoka of 2019.

In addition to this, the both also received another even more prestigious award.

Giorgios received the second place Best Male Athlete and Sofia the third place Best Female Athlete in ALL SPORTS – a truly singular honour.

Accompanying them at the awards was President of the Cyprus Judo Federation Mr. Sotos Tricomitis and Technical Director Christodoulos Christodoulides.

Sotos Tricomitis said that “We are very proud of our Judoka and the recognition they have received from the Cyprus Olympic Committee”
